Project management for the digital, international residency programme (Un)Learning Distances.
In cooperation with the FAVORITEN Festival, transmission is organising the project (Un)Learning Distances. A production manager is needed for the project on a freelance basis for the period 01 March to 30 September 2022 (part-time).
(Un)Learning Distances is a digital, international residency programme that promotes networking between artists from North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) and artists from other parts of the world, encourages international and interdisciplinary exchange and facilitates and implements cooperation projects. There will be five cooperation projects, each between an artistic position from NRW and one from another part of the world, which – thematically or aesthetically – pursue similar research interests and focal points. They will be supported by mentors and “godmothers”/”godfathers” who, as international outside eyes, will also set discourses and associations in motion between all the resident teams. In the form of digital residencies, the teams will share their knowledge in a continuous collaboration, gain new perspectives and enter into an artistic as well as discursive dialogue in order to develop a joint work in digital space. In different work phases, the common research interest will be specified and a format idea will be developed, which will be performed at the FAVORITEN Festival. The project is supported by Fonds Darstellende Künste with funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media within the programme NEUSTART KULTUR.
